My previous post was about a book I had read for my marketing management class. This post will be about a book I read in my spare time. Warren Buffet, a man that literally started with nothing and today is classified as one of the richest men in the world. "Business Leaders" explains the mindset Mr. Buffet had acquired from a young age already. Always finding out ways to make money. His first time making money he sold a six pack of coke at a profit at the age of 6. That innovative young boy has grown to be one of the most influential men in business today.
One can learn a lot from someone like this. My favorite quote by Warren states: "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently". This statement is important as we all want to build a good reputation in the business world and for some of us that will be searching for jobs soon.
What I admire the most about this man is the humility he has shown. Mr. Buffet still lives in the very first house he bought. He does not fly around in fancy private jets and still drives himself everywhere. This says a lot to me about someone that is the 3rd richest man in the world. I strongly encourage you to read not only his "Business Leaders" book but his other ones as well. It may just change your life!
Sincerely,
Zinny
